IP Office won't play imported .wav files

I am trying to import some .wav files for voicemail greetings and names. I have converted them to 16 bit, 8khz mono, added them to the correct folder, and matched the file name to the original. The system just ignores them. The ones recorded through the phones on IP Office will play fine.

These were working on version 8, not sure but they may have stopped working when we upgraded to 9.0.1.0

    Hello,

could you please give me an idea of what prompts you are talking about your setup. "Embedded VM" or "VMPro", Release of IPO etc....

    Regards,

    Lothar

      Hi there.

There are a couple of little things to be aware of when you are using the greetings.

First, make sure you, as you have, the recording is 8k, 16 bit, Mono.
Second, you need to make the recording into a .c11 recording with the LVMGreeting Utility.
Third, the naming convention for the recordings is a maximum of 8 characters. So if the recording was named

      MyRecording.wav

That would have to be renamed to something like : myRec (up to 8 characters. I program in Objective C, which is why my naming conventions are in camel case! (smile))

      Hope this helps.

      Regards.

You can use Audactity ( Opensource audio software ) to convert any sound file into Avaya compatible . See the steps here . http://htsqatar.com/avaya-recording-...sing-audacity/
