license needed for Avaya 1616 with BM32

We are using an IP Office R9.0 and we want to implement the Avaya 1616 with module BM32 and we're wondering if this device needs a license or not?
Reason why i'm asking is that you can find these devices a lot cheaper online and our main supplier can not or is not willing to give us the licence cost on its own.

This device does require a Avaya ip endpoint license .. you may have some spare ... be warned though that if you buy a grey market handset it may well not work on your system depending on what arena the phone has been manufactured for.

That said no reason for your BP not to allow you to buy licenses on there own , they would be able to refuse to look at issues if a fault does occur with handset though.

To clarify the 1616 needs a license but the BM32 does not.
