    CCE 4.1.3 Banned Message Notification

Anyone know if it is possible to have an email notification sent if a email message is banned. I tried the "Administrator email addres" from the General tab of the Email Queue but that didn't seem to work when I sent in a banned message.

    We are running CCE 4.1.3.

Ideally this should work, the email notification should be sent to the administrator email id. If this is not working at your end, please raise a ticket to Avaya Support.

Also.. how are you sure it is banned? Are you seeing it show up as a banned message in the email storage folder? Are you trying to filter out emails that are basically auto replies saying the address you sent to was incorrect?

Hi.. CCE wont stop tagging the incoming emails as banned message. Can you help me with this one sir? I am checking the temporary folder under the email media store. and after deleting the banned messages, a new one will come. Hope for your assistance.

        thanks.

Does this happen for every email? Is the system in production? Did this just start? Sounds like something that would need some investigation. Does the end customer have support?

yes this happened for every incoming email which enters the CCE. Once the email enters the CCE it goes to the temporary folder and not on the queue. Actually this happened already last time and avaya engineer have deleted the E in the preprocessor on the ASGUIhost file. But the issue came back. Yes the system is in production.and they cant receive emails from the customers. have you ecountered this issue before?

            Thanks,

I would open a ticket with support if you have support. I don't think i have seen this exact issue. What version of CCE are they running? Check the ASEmailMediaStore.ini to see if that queue has that 'E' PreProcessor assigned to the problematic queue. But i am not aware of why that would fix the issue. What are the logs saying? Make sure the EMS is turned up to log level = 1 to see all logging.

Check the logs as Dan says. The logs will tell you why the message was banned if it is being banned. Just as a possibility check that the email program schedule is still valid and has not reached its end date. This will cause all emails to stop in the temporary directory an not be processed further.
