Body

9611G telephones, default with the standard three call appearance buttons on the first page.  Navigation to the 2nd page is required to access any other programmed buttons.  In order to move feature buttons to the main display and make the phones call center friendly, customers need to make adjustments to both the telephone and the 46xxsettings.txt file.

1 - Set the phone screen width from Full to Half, splitting the screen in half to include call appearance and primary agent buttons. One the phone, press:

Home; select Options & Settings or Phone Settings; select OK; select Screen and Sound Options; select OK; select Phone Screen Width; select OK; press Change to change to Half screen mode.

Alternately, half/spit screen can also be managed by the "PHNSCRCOLUMNS" feature in 46xxsettings file.

2 - Modify the 46xxsettings.txt File to display features on the same screen as call appearance and to allow the headset operation for "auto answer".

In order to "move" features to the main display where the call appearance are, modify the "FBONCASCREEN" field.  To find this parameter in the file, do an"Edit, Find" and enter that field name.  When found, delete the ## and change the "0" entry to "1" and save the file.

Next do an "Edit, Find" on HEADSYS.  This specifies whether the telephone will go on-hook if the headset is active when a Disconnect message is received.  When found, delete the ## and change the "0" entry to "1" and save the file.
