Cause

Trap #                   Description/Recommendation

52                           cmgModuleInsertFault — Media module insertion sequence has failed.
1. Reset or replace the media module.
 
53                    cmgModuleInsertSuccess - A media module has been inserted.
 
54                    cmgMgBusyout - An administrator has moved a media module or port to the busy-out state.
 
55                    cmgMgRelease -An administrator has moved a media module or port from the busy-out state back into service.
 
70                    cmgFirmwareDownloadBegun - The media gateway has begun download of a software module.
 
71                    cmgFirmwareDownloadSuccess - The media gateway has completed successful download of a software module.
 
73                    cmgRegistrationSuccess - The media gateway has successfully registered with a controller.
 
74                    cmgMgManualReset - The media gateway is beginning a user-requested reset operation.
 
75                    cmgModuleManualReset - A media module is beginning a user-requested reset operation.
 
76                    cmgVoipManualReset - A VoIP engine is beginning a user-requested reset operation.

Solution

Following steps are required to resolve the issue

  1. Check the board is present on the system by running the command list config board < board location>.
  2. If the board shows no board then try to perform a Reseat on the board and verify if can be sensed.
  3. If the issue still persist try to replace the board and verify.
  4. If the issue still exist then try to insert the module in another slot and check if the issue is with slot and replace the gateway if issue identified with gateway.
  5. If the board was never present and it just shows the entry in the media gateway then run the command change media gateway and then remove the entry from the slot.
  6. Reseat/replace the board if the problem is with hardware.
