System Recovery (Hard Disk Crash)

If the Communication Manager server has a hard disk failure, you must replace the Communication Manager server, which is shipped with a new hard drive. The hard drive will have Communication Manager server and IA 770 INTUITY AUDIX software already loaded on it. However, you may need to update the software as part of the recovery process.

  1. Get the new Communication Manager server.

You will have to order this piece of equipment using normal ordering procedures for your organization.

  1. Get the latest Communication Manager server software CD-ROM and IA 770 INTUITY AUDIX Languages CD-ROM, if necessary.

The most recent Communication Manager server software CD-ROM also contains the most recent Communication Manager and IA 770 INTUITY AUDIX software. Get this CD-ROM from your project manager or services organization. In addition, you may need the IA 770 INTUITY AUDIX Languages CD-ROM, if the languages are not available on the Communication Manager server CD-ROM.

  1. Load and Install the Most Recent Communication Manager server and Communication Manager Software and Complete the Communication Manager server/Media Gateway Installation

The most recent Communication Manager server software (the .tar file) includes the most recent IA 770 INTUITY AUDIX software. However, you must separately install IA 770 INTUITY AUDIX after the software is uploaded to the Communication Manager server FTP directory.

Note: Be sure to make the upgrade permanent at the completion of the installation of Communication Manager server software.
