Recording prompts |
A prompt is played when a caller accesses an application node that is configured to use a prompt. Any actions assigned to the node occur after the prompt has been played.
Caller applications use two types of prompts:
Application prompts are stored as part of the caller application. You record Application prompts in the Prompt property page.
Announcements are recorded by subscribers using the TUI and stored in their mailboxes. You can use Caller Applications Editor to display a list of announcements used by an application but you cannot edit the content of these prompts.
This enables the voice controls on this page.
Caller Applications Editor creates a list entry for the prompt.
Note: To quickly change the audio device for recording names, right-click on the telephone or multimedia icon, and select 1 Multimedia, or 2 Telephone. |
This enables the voice controls on this page.
If the mailbox number is set to <default> the mailbox number is not allocated until the caller application runs. The mailbox number is supplied by an association or by an administrator binding the caller application to a mailbox using the subscriber administration tool.
An area for entering comments appears on the Announcement screen.
If there is no mailbox allocated to this application, the Add a Mailbox Prompt box appears.
