Recording prompts

A prompt is played when a caller accesses an application node that is configured to use a prompt. Any actions assigned to the node occur after the prompt has been played.

Caller applications use two types of prompts:

  2. From the Action menu, select Properties.
  3. Choose the Prompt property page.

  3. Select Application prompt.
  4. Click on the Add button to add a new prompt.
  5. Caller Applications Editor creates a list entry for the prompt.

  6. Under Comments, enter a name and description for the prompt. (The prompt number is generated automatically.)
  7. Click on the Record button .
  8. Record the prompt. You can record prompts using multimedia or the telephone, depending on the audio device you have chosen. For information on setting up the audio device see Configuring Editor properties.
