The messaging system comes with default
login parameters and default system time limits. You might want
to change some of these parameters or to activate or deactivate
features as the needs of your subscribers change.
Note: You must use the sa login to change data on
this screen. Voice messaging administrators who use the vm login
can only view the data on this screen |
To change system features and parameters:
- Start at the Messaging Administration main
menu and select:
Global Administration
Messaging Administration
The system displays the SSH User Authentication
dialog box. Enter your login, for example, sa or vm, in the User name field
and your password in the Password field. Click Login. The system then
displays the Messaging command prompt screen.
- At the enter command prompt, enter change system-parameters
features.
Tip: To view current system settings,
use the display system-parameters features command.

- Complete the fields on this screen using the information provided
in Field definitions: System-Parameters
Features screen, page 1.
- Press F7 (Next Page) to access the additional System-Parameters
Features screens.
Complete the fields on these screens using the information
provided in:

- Press F3 (Enter) to save the information in
the system database.
The cursor returns to the command line, and the system displays
the message:
Command Successfully Completed.
- Enter exit or another administrative command at the
enter command prompt.

Click Return to Main to return to the Messaging Administration main
menu.
