persistent-hosts timeout <hours>
Sets the time after which an unreachable subnet no longer affects availability scores of service-provider links. A subnet is unreachable when probes on all service-provider links fail.
Use this command for subnets that have persistent-hosts enabled.
The no form of this command restores the default value:
- When entered in Adaptive Routing Engine Configuration mode, the command restores the default value for the global setting.
- When entered in Policy Configuration mode, the command restores the default value for the policy decision.
For more information on the command modes for the persistent-hosts timeout command, see Command modes.

The global setting applies to all subnets that:
l are not assigned a policy decision
l are assigned a decision policy that does not explicitly set this parameter.

Policy Configuration mode

The policy decision applies to all subnets to which it is assigned. This setting overrides the global setting.
NOTE: Any parameter not explicitly set in a decision policy assumes the globally set value for that parameter.
