In order to serve web hits through a secure channel, you need to use the SSL-enabled version of the USTAT module, and you need to enable the SSL protocol on each module’s web server.
While in configuration mode (config), enter USTAT configuration mode (config-ustat) and then enter the ip http server ssl on command, as shown by the following examples of command-line input (including CNA prompts):
Avaya_ANS# config t Avaya_ANS(config)# module ustat 3 Avaya_ANS(config-ustat)# ip http server ssl on Avaya_ANS(config-ustat)# end Avaya_ANS(config)#
Repeat this sequence for each USTAT-SSL module.
Restarting multiple USTATs can be simplified by using a shorthand notation in which the commands are concatenated into a single one-line command:
Avaya_ANS# config t mod ustat ISP-1 ip http server ssl on Avaya_ANS# config t mod ustat ISP-2 ip http server ssl on <...etc.>
With SSL enabled, the USTAT-SSL module will accept either http:// or https:// requests.
With SSL disabled, the USTAT-SSL module will accept only http:// requests.
