When you enable load optimization, the decision-maker process evaluates volume of traffic through individual links when deciding which route should be asserted as the chosen route for a particular prefix.
This information is obtained by the CNA link-monitor process, which polls the SNMP agents on your edge routers at user-defined intervals. See Chapter 4: Polling Routers of the CNA Advanced Monitoring Guide.
