Changing the zone, test, or criterion displayed in the zone matrix

To change the zone, test, or criterion that is displayed in the zone matrix:

  1. Open the zone matrix. See Viewing the zone matrix.
  2. To change the zone, in the zone matrix, click the zone name for which you want to view test results. Zones that are bold type and underlined contain subzones.
  3. To change the test or test variable, in the Test field of the toolbar, select the test or test variable for which you want to view results.
  4. To change the criterion:
a. In the Criterion field of the toolbar, select the criterion for which you want to view test results. Options are relative, absolute, minimum, median, and maximum. For a description of each option, see Table 4.
b. If you select minimum, median, or maximum, you can adjust upper and lower thresholds. The color of each cell indicates how its minimum, median, or maximum test value compares to the thresholds you set. For example, if you select minimum, a lower threshold of 80, and an upper threshold of 120, cells whose minimum test result is above 120 are colored red.

These upper and lower thresholds help you quickly identify how cells’ test results compare to each other.

Table 4:  Test measurement criterion
Criterion
Description
relative

Displays status of test results in context of the test’s relative thresholds. This is the default criterion.

For example, if the measurements are consistently falling within the upper and lower thresholds, the report displays Steady.

NOTE: Relative alarms are generated when the most recent results for a specific test show an abrupt increase or decrease. The thresholds for determining an “abrupt increase or decrease” are self-adjusting thresholds based on a statistical technique. Note that if the measurement remains near or outside the threshold, the threshold adjusts to reflect this changed norm. Once the threshold self-adjusts, the alarm clears even though the measurement itself has not changed. The steady state becomes the threshold value. This value can be higher or lower than the configured threshold.

absolute

Displays status of test results in context of the test’s absolute threshold.

For example, if the measurements are consistently below the absolute threshold, the report displays Ok.

median

Displays median of test measurements.

minimum

Displays minimum of test measurements.

maximum

Displays maximum of test measurements.
