The CNA Medic process, as its name implies, constantly monitors the health of the system and insures that group of internal processes and resources, called services, are functioning correctly. The Medic process is responsible for the orderly startup of these services when the system is booted and for the orderly shutdown of services when the system or any of its components are taken down.
The commands show medic, medic call and medic set allow you to view the health of these services, execute routines on some of them, and set parameters of others.
