Parameter description for the VoIP Parameter Administration Web page

You can administer the following parameters on the VoIP Parameter Administration Web page:

Parameter Description
Use Avaya Web Voice Client?

This field indicates whether the contact center is using the Avaya WVC (Yes) or Microsoft NetMeeting (No.) After changing this field, you must stop and then restart the ICM server.

Note: The installation process automatically sets this field to Yes if you install the Voice Media Manager (VMM) software on the same server as the ICM; otherwise you must manually set this field to Yes.

Avaya Voice Media Manager IP Address

This field specifies the IP address of the Avaya VMM server, if applicable.

Avaya Voice Media Manager Port

This field specifies the port number for VMM traffic, if applicable. The default is 8120.

Telephony App URL

This field specifies the telephony application to be used if Microsoft NetMeeting is the voice client. The default is http://{icm_server_name}/servlet/WT/nmit

VoIP Connect Timeout

This field contains the number of seconds the system will wait while placing an Internet voice session before switching to a text chat session. When the system begins to launch an Internet voice session, specific events occur to connect the session. If these events take more time to complete than what is specified in the VoIP Connect Timeout parameter, then the session switches to text chat.

The system default for the VoIP Connect Timeout is 30 seconds. Thirty seconds is generally an acceptable time to wait for an Internet voice session to launch. However, if you are experiencing problems with Internet voice session switching to text chat sessions, then you may need to increase the VoIP Connect Timeout value.

Minimum UDP Port

This field specifies the minimum UDP port number. The default is 60000.

Maximum UDP Port

This field specifies the maximum UDP port number. The default is 60100.
