Add gatewaysto add a gateway, use the Add Gateway frame. When you have finished entering values for the new gateway, click the Save button.
Change gateway valuesto change a gateway's values after you have saved original gateway information, use the Change or Delete Gateways frame. When you have finished changing values, click the Save button.
Delete gatewaysto delete a gateway from the system, use the Change or Delete Gateways frame. Click the Yes option in the Delete? column for the gateway that you want to remove, and then click the Save button.
Gateway parameter descriptions
You can administer the following gateway parameters:
Parameter Description IP Address or Domain Name (Required) This field contains the IP address or domain name of the VoIP gateway. For a DEFINITY IP Solutions-based gateway, use the IP address of the associated C-LAN board. If your contact center uses the Avaya Web Voice Client (WVC), you can administer multiple IP signaling groups on the same C-LAN circuit pack; multiple groups on the same C-LAN have the same IP address but different port numbers.
Port This field contains the port number that the gateway uses to connect to the VoIP client. The default is 1720 (this is the only port usable by Microsoft NetMeeting). If your contact center uses the WVC, you can administer multiple IP signaling groups on the same C-LAN circuit pack as long as each group has a unique port number; valid WVC port numbers are 1720 and any value above 5000.
ITG Gateway? This field indicates whether the device is an ITG or another type of gateway.
Simult. VoIP Calls This field contains the number of simultaneous VoIP calls that the gateway can handle. This field is valid only if the gateway is not an ITG. If you enter a value for an ITG, the system ignores it.
Delete? This field allows you to delete a gateway from the system. When you select Yes, the real-time software deletes the gateway from the system.
