Internet Call Manager connectivity
Connectivity
The ICM server communicates using TCP/IP over a socket on the LAN. The ICM server needs an Ethernet NIC and wiring to the LAN.
The CTI on the ICM server provides an interface between the Internet domain and telephony functions of the switching domain of the contact center. The CTI interfaces with the ICM process to pass incoming Internet requests to the contact center and to pass contact center status and responses back to the ICM. The CTI interfaces with the CentreVu Computer-Telephony/Message Care server to monitor session progress information within the contact center domain and to launch sessions.
The CTI process may reside on the same server as the CentreVu Computer-Telephony and messaging software.
