The messaging software supports the following editions of Microsoft SQL Server:

Licensing environments supported

The messaging software requires five Client Access Licenses (CALs). You will also need licenses for supervisors and agents who will be accessing the system simultaneously. The CALs can be deployed in a "per seat" or "per server" mode. Descriptions of the two deployments are described below:

Per seat

With a per seat licensing environment, each workstation or other device that connects to a licensed SQL server must have a CAL.

Per server

With a per server licensing environment, you predetermine the number of devices that will be connected to a licensed SQL server at a given time.
