These are self-extracting ZIP files; you do not need a ZIP utility such as WinZip or PKZip to install any version of Made Easy Tools. Each of the ZIP files contains the Readme.txt file, which has instructions for downloading, unzipping, and accessing the DEFINITY Made Easy Tools.

Downloading Made Easy Tools to Your Computer

Use this procedure to download a current or previous version of the Made Easy Tools.

  1. Select the version of Made Easy Tools you want to download by clicking on the link in the table above.

  2. Accept your default directory or select an alternative directory for the downloaded self-extracting ZIP file, and save the file to your computer.

  3. Go to the directory containing the self-extracting ZIP file, and run the file.

  4. (For example, from Windows Explorer, double-click on the file name; or highlight the file name and select the File > Open menu option.)

    The WinZip Self-extractor dialog box displays.

  5. Accept the default directory for the version of Made Easy Tools you are installing and select the Unzip button.

  6. After you have successfully installed the version of Made Easy Tools, you can delete the self-extracting ZIP file.

Running Your Copy of Made Easy Tools

To run the copy of Made Easy Tools that you have installed on your computer, go to the directory where you saved it and open the index.htm file. You can open the file from Windows or from your browser.

To return to Made Easy Tools more easily, add the URL to your Favorites (Internet Explorer) or Bookmarks (Netscape).
