Note:

To properly seat a circuit pack, push firmly on the front of the faceplate until the latch reaches the bottom rail of the carrier. Then close the latch until it is fully engaged.

Insert the TN1650B memory circuit pack(s) in memory slot(s) 3 (if needed) and 4.

Note:

Adding memory to the standby SPE causes an error because the number of memory circuit packs between the standby and active carriers does not match.

If the UN330B DUPINT circuit pack is Vintage 3 or later, go to Power Up the Other SPE (High/Critical reliability only) [R9r].

Remove the old DUPINT circuit pack and place it in antistatic packing material.

Note:

THE FOLLOWING STEP IS CRITICAL.

Set the lock switch on the new DUPINT circuit pack to be in the same position as the DUPINT just removed. For example, If the lock switch on the old DUPINT was set to B, then set the lock switch on the new DUPINT to B.

Insert the new UN330B DUPINT circuit pack into the slot vacated by the old one.
