Running a remote update can use
one of your networking ports for quite some time. If you want to change
a remote user immediately but do not want to run a remote update, you
can change that user manually.
To change a remote user's data manually:
- Start at the Administration
main menu and select:
Global Administration
Messaging Administration
The system displays the SSH
User Authentication dialog box. Enter your login, for example, sa or vm,
in the User name
field and your password in the Password
field. Click Login. The system then displays the AUDIX
Command Prompt screen.
- Enter change
remote-subscriber remote_user_extension at the
enter
command:
prompt, where remote_user_extension is the
extension of a user on the remote networked system.
The system displays the
Remote Subscriber screen.
-
Complete or change the fields on this screen
by using the information provided in the table for Field
Definitions: Remote Subscriber screen.
-
Press F3 (Enter) to save the information in
the system database.
The cursor returns to
the command line, and the system displays the following message:
Command Successfully
Completed
.
-
Repeat Step 2 through Step 4 for each remote
user that you need to update.
- Enter exit
or another administrative command at the
enter command:
prompt or click Return to Main.
