Inband PBX Configuration Tool

This topic describes how to use the Inband PBX Configuration Tool to administer new inband and mode-code switch integrations. This tool is used only by Tier 4 staff to integrate new inband switches. See the following topics:

Adding a New Switch Integration

Complete the following procedure to integrate a INTUITY AUDIX system with a new switch by using the Inband PBX Configuration Tool:

1. Start at the Administration main menu and select:

Basic System Administration
  Switch Selection	
   Inband PBX Configuration Tool
    Add New Switch Configuration
  

The Inband PBX Configuration Tool—Add Switch page is displayed. View this page for the field descriptions.

2. In the Add Switch field, type the name of the switch to be integrated.
3. Complete Step�a through Step�c to specify the Called Party's (CP) extension length, filler digit, and delimiter digit:
1. In the Length field, type the called party's extension length.
2. Select the Filler Digit from the drop-down list.
3. Select the Delimiter Digit from the drop-down list.
4. Complete Step�a through Step�c to specify the Calling Party's Calling Line identification (CLI) extension length, filler digit, and delimiter digits:
1. In the Length field, type the calling party's extension length.
2. Select the Filler Digit from the drop-down list.
3. Select the Delimiter Digit from the drop-down list.
5. If you need to specify additional call-type acronyms, click Add Token and enter your information. The system adds another row to the existing information:
   
1. In the Length field, type the calling party's extension length.
2. Select the Filler Digit from the drop-down list.
3. Select the Delimiter Digit from the drop-down list.
7. To add a type of call:
   1. From the drop-down list, select a Type Of Call.
   2. In the Digit Sequence field, type of digit sequence for the specified type of call.
8. To add rows to enter additional type of calls, click Add Type Of Call.
9. Click Update to activate the switch.

The system displays the following message:

The new inband switch is activated. You need to stop and start the voice system to use this switch.

Deleting a Switch Configuration

To delete a switch configuration:

1. Start at the Administration main menu and select:

Basic System Administration
  Switch Selection
   Inband PBX Configuration Tool
     Delete Switch Configuration

The Inband PBX Configuration Tool—Delete Switch page is displayed.

2. From the PBX drop-down list, select the switch that you want to delete.
3. Click Delete Switch.
4. Click OK to delete the switch. To keep the switch configuration, click Cancel.
5. Click Return to Switch Selection.
   
   

Editing a Switch Configuration

To edit a switch configuration:

Start at the Administration main menu and select:

Basic System Administration
  Switch Selection
     Inband PBX Configuration Tool
        Edit Switch Configuration

The Inband Configuration Tool—Edit Switch page is displayed.

2. From the PBX drop-down list, select the switch that you want to edit.
3. Click Edit Switch.
4. Enter your changes then click Update.
5. Click Return to Switch Selection.
