Administering Outcalling Periods

The AMIS Analog Networking and Message Delivery features use the outcalling ports to deliver messages.

To administer outcalling periods:

  1. Log in to the INTUITY AUDIX Command Prompt.

The system displays the AUDIX Command Prompt after you enter your login.

  1. At the enter command: prompt, enter change system-parameters outcalling.
  2. The system displays the System-Parameters Outcalling screen.

  3. Enter y or n in the Outcalling Active? field.
  4. Enter a start time in the Start Time field.
  5. Enter an end time in the End Time field.
  6. Enter the maximum number of ports in the Maximum Simultaneous Ports field.
  7. Enter the number of minutes, from 0 to 60, that must elapse after a message is delivered before the first outcall occurs in the Initial Delay field. You can use this field to avoid immediately attempting to call users who just received call-answer messages because they were busy or did not answer their phones.
  8. Enter a maximum number of digits that can be specified for outcalling in the Maximum Number Digits field.
  9. Press F3 (Enter).
  10. Continue with Adjusting the System Limits.
