AMIS Analog Networking Administration

This topic provides information on administering AMIS Analog Networking. Before you begin these procedures, review the AMIS overview and planning information. Do not start AMIS administration until the local INTUITY messaging system is working smoothly and the administrator has some experience administering it.
 

Important! Implementation of the AMIS Analog Networking is the responsibility of the customer. Avaya support service contracts are available to assist customers with AMIS implementation.

To administer AMIS Analog Networking, you must complete the following procedures:

• Administering the local machine
• Administering a loopback test mailbox (optional)
• Administering Analog Networking parameters
• Administering outcalling periods
• Adjusting the system limits
• Administering retransmission intervals
• Running audits to activate the AMIS feature parameter changes
• Adding remote machines and/or telephone numbers
• Recording remote machine names
• Administering remote subscribers (optional)
• Recording remote subscriber names (optional)
• Renaming the local and remote machines
• Changing remote machine information
• Deleting remote machines
• Testing the AMIS connection
