NW SOFTWARE 0000
Description:
The networking process stopped.
Repair Procedure:
Contact your remote maintenance center.
NW SOFTWARE 0001
Description:
The system found nonstandard networking software during the startup of networking. This condition occurs if the files have wrong information associated with them.
Repair Procedure:
Contact your remote maintenance center.
NW SOFTWARE 0002
Description:
The system saved a core dump file.
Repair Procedure:
Contact your remote maintenance center.
NW SOFTWARE 0003
Description:
The system failed to initialize the networking software.
Repair Procedure:
Contact your remote maintenance center.
NW SOFTWARE 0004
Description:
The system failed to synchronize the Intuity AUDIX and Networking databases.
Repair Procedure:
Contact your remote maintenance center.
NW SOFTWARE 0005
Description:
The system failed to connect to a machine. This alarm might occur because remote machines stop operating or contend for resources. The system resolves this alarm when a successful connection is made with the remote machine.
Repair Procedure:
- Write down the VCE ID (Voice ID) number shown in the message.
- Starting at the Avaya Intuity Main Menu, select:
Audix AdministrationThe system displays the AUDIX Command Prompt Screen.
- Enter list machine
- Access the Alarm Log and look for the alarms NW NETWK_BD 2000 or NW NETWK_CHAN 2001.
If either of these two alarms exist, contact the remote maintenance center.
- Verify the connection to and from the remote machine.
- Verify local and remote machine administration.
- Starting at the Avaya Intuity Main Menu, select:
Networking Administration
Local Machine Administration- Verify that the machine name is correct.
- Press F6 (Cancel) to exit the screen.
- From the Network Administration menu, select:
Remote Machine Administration
Digital Network Machine Administration- Verify that the dialstring and password are correct.
- Write down the connection type.
- Press F6 (Cancel) twice to exit the screens.
- From the Network Administration menu, select:
Networking Channel Administration.- Verify that there are channels equipped for the connection type (
TYPE
field) that you wrote down.- Verify that the physical hardware connections to the breakout box match what is administered.
- If the channels are not equipped:
- Press F8 (Chg-Keys).
- Press F2 (Config).
- Enter the appropriate information.
- If the hardware and administration do not match, change whichever is incorrect.
- If the connection type is RS232:
- Press F8 (Chg-Keys).
- Press F2 (Config).
- Select
RS232 Channel Configuration
- Verify that the modem initialization string is correct.
- Press F6 (Cancel) to exit the screen.
- Examine all networking-related cabling from the Avaya Intuity system to the switch. Verify that connectors are firmly in place, and that all modems have power.
- If the problem persists, contact your remote maintenance center.
NW SOFTWARE 0006
Description:
The system is experiencing a possible message delivery problem to a machine.
Repair Procedure:
- Write down the VCE ID (Voice ID) number shown in the Description field of the message.
- Starting at the Avaya Intuity Main Menu, select:
Audix AdministrationThe system displays the AUDIX Command Prompt Screen.
- Enter list machine
- Access the Alarm Log and look for the alarms NW NETWK_BD 2000 or NW NETWK_CHAN 2001.
If either of these two alarms exist, contact the remote maintenance center.
- Verify the connection to and from the remote machine.

The system experienced a network database audit error.

Description:
The networking circuit card failed. This alarm occurs when the networking software is unable to communicate with the ACCX circuit card.
