Installing the AUDIX Platform Software

To install the platform software:

  1. Make sure the base system software installation procedures have been completed.
  2. Make sure the Intuity AUDIX CD is still in the CD drive.
  3. At the console login prompt, enter root
  4. At the password prompt, press ENTER.
  5. At the system prompt, enter /etc/autoinstall

    6. The system displays the following message:

    Attempting to automatically install the Intuity Software from CD-ROM

    Press ENTER to continue or q to cancel.

  6. Press ENTER.

    7. After loading a series of files the system displays the following message:

    Do you want to run default set installation? (default: y)

  7. Press ENTER.

    8. The system displays the following message:

    Enter password for craft:

  8. Enter the password you want to create for the craft login.

    9. The system displays the following message:

    Re-enter password for craft:

  9. Re-enter the password you entered in Step 8.

    10. The system displays the following message:

    Enter password for tsc:

  10. Enter the password you want to create for the tsc login.

    11. The system displays the following message:

    Re-enter password for tsc:

  11. Re-enter the password you entered in Step 10.

    12. The system displays the following message:

    Enter password for tscppp:

  12. Enter the password you want to create for the tsc point-to-point protocol.

    13. The system displays the following message:

    Re-enter password for tscppp:

  13. Re-enter the password you entered in Step 12.

    14. After loading a series of files, the system reboots and then displays the following message:

    Startup of the Voice System is complete

  14. Continue by Installing the AUDIX Application Software and then Installing an Avaya Intuity System Announcement Set.
