This topic provides information on identifying the Point-to-Point
Protocol (PPP) servers. PPP connections allow internal and external
support teams to connect to the Message Networking system through
a dial-up connection. The connections you can set up are determined
by your login.
The modem that ships with the Message Networking system is intended
for tsc login use. You must install and configure a separate modem
and IP address for each of the remaining logins for which you want
to set up a PPP connection. Because each configured PPP connection
uses a separate modem and IP address, multiple PPP connections can
be used simultaneously.
To identify a PPP connection:
- Start at the Administration menu,
and select Basic System Administration > TCP/IP Administration
> PPP Server Configuration.
The system displays the PPP Server Configuration page.
- Complete the fields on the page.
For information on completing the fields, click the field names
or Help on the Web-based administration page.
- Click Save to accept the
page settings.
- Either continue with Attaching the
LAN cable or, if you are done, click Return to Main.
