Transmitting test packets

To transmit test packets:

1. Start at the Administration menu, and select Diagnostics > TCP/IP Diagnostics > Send & Receive Test Packets To & From (Ping Test).
   The system displays the Send & Receive Test Packets To & From (PING) page.
2. Type the internet protocol (IP) address of the system for which you want to run the test in the IP Address/Host Name: field.
3. Click Ping Test to run the test.
   When the test is finished, the system displays the test results.
4. Evaluate the results and proceed as follows:
• If the results show 0% packet loss, continue with Verifying the IP address for remote machines.
• If the results show 100% packet loss, continue with Correcting diagnostic failures.
