Correcting diagnostic failures

To correct diagnostic failures for the Message Networking system:

  1. Start at the Administration menu, and select Diagnostics > TCP/IP Diagnostics > Send & Receive Test Packets To & From (Ping Test).
    The system displays the Send & Receive Test Packets To & From (PING) page.
  2. Verify that the IP address you entered into the IP Address: field is correct:
    • If it does not match, reenter the correct address and repeat the Transmitting Test Packets procedure.
    • If it matches, continue with Step 3.
  3. Complete the procedure Establishing Network Addresses.
  4. Continue with Attaching the LAN Cable.
  5. Return to this procedure after you have attached the LAN cable and attempt the test again. If the test is successful, continue with Verifying the IP Address for Remote Machines. If the test fails a second time, contact your remote support center.
