The following table lists the procedures for adding new INTUITY
Release 4.0 or later, DEFINITY ONE Release 2.0, IP600 9.2.1, Avaya
IA770, INTUITY AUDIX LX, and Interchange Release 5.4 remote machines
to the Message Networking system. The procedures appear in the sequence in which
they are performed.

Obtain the completed planning worksheet for the remote machine.
You will use the information from this worksheet when you configure
the remote machine parameters for the new remote machine. |

Obtain the Dial Plan Mapping requirements for the remote machine
from your account representative. You will use these requirements
to determine how to map the new system's dial plan (not required
for Interchange Release 5.4 remote machines). |

Determine the type of subscriber update to use for the new
system (Full, Dynamic, or Directory View). You will select the
subscriber update type when you add the remote machine to the
Message Networking system.
Note: Updates from Interchange Release 5.4 to Message
Networking are always Full updates.

Administer the Message Networking system on the remote machine.
Be sure to enter the exact name and IP address of the Message
Networking system.

Administer the remote machine
parameters for the new AUDIX Digital remote machine. |

Administer the Dial Plan Mapping
for the remote machine, using the Dial Plan Mapping requirements
you obtained (not required for Interchange Release 5.4 remote
machines). |

Administer directory views, if

Verify that the remote machine has been added to the Message
Networking system:

Test LAN connectivity by transmitting
test packets. |

Perform a remote machine connectivity
test. |

Run a Demand Remote Update to add remote subscribers to the
Message Networking system. |

(Optional) To manually update the INTUITY AUDIX system, run
get remote_update. |

Verify the subscriber update:
- On the AUDIX system, run the Feature Daily Traffic Report.
- On the Message Networking system, view
the Subscriber List by Machine Name.

subscribers on the new INTUITY AUDIX system. The Adding
and updating subscribers overview provides information on
how subscribers are updated for the different types of remote
