Modifying telephone number mapping for a remote machine

Use this procedure to modify the existing telephone number mapping of a remote machine.

To modify the existing telephone mapping of a remote machine:

1. Start at the Administration menu, and select Message Networking Administration > Remote Machine Administration > Telephone Number Administration.

   The Telephone Number Administration page displays.

2. From the Remote Machine Name menu, select the remote machine for which you want to modify telephone number mapping.

   The system lists the existing telephone number mapping for the selected remote machine.

3. Select the mapping you want to modify and click Change Mapping.
4. Click OK to verify that you want to change the selected mapping.

   The Change Telephone Number Mapping page displays. See the page help for detailed information about modifying the fields on this page.

5. Modify the entries In the Map To and Map From field as appropriate.
6. Click Change to accept the mapping changes.
7. Click OK to acknowledge the message that the mapping has been successfully changed.

   The Telephone Number Administration page displays the modified mapping for the remote machine.

8. On the Telephone Number Administration page, click Apply Mapping.

   Click OK to confirm that you want to apply the mapping:

   • The system updates all of the existing subscribers on this remote machine
   • The updated telephone numbers are transmitted to the Modular Messaging and other Message Networking systems in the network.

   The mapping is automatically applied to any subscribers subsequently added to the remote machine.

9. Click Return to Main.

Note: You can administer telephone numbers for individual subscribers by modifying the Telephone Number field on the Subscriber Parameters Administration page.
