Browser requirements

This Message Networking Help system requires a browser for viewing. The Help system has been tested on the following browsers:

  • Microsoft Internet Explorer Versions 5.x and 6.x
  • Netscape Navigator Versions Netscape 4.7x and 6.x

We have made every effort to ensure that the Help system will also support later releases of these browsers.

Notes:

  • The different releases of Netscape browsers support different fonts. You might need to change the appearance of your fonts in your browser's Preferences menu.
  • Adobe Reader must be installed after you install your browser to ensure that all the links work correctly.
  • When connecting to Message Networking remotely via LAN using a non-U.S. English browser
version, you must use a browser version that fully supports UTF-8 encoding. Message Networking employs
UTF-8 encoding to support international use of the product. If you use a browser that does not fully support
UTF-8 encoding, you might encounter issues such as unrecognizable characters displaying (Netscape 4.7 and Internet Explorer 5.0 are two browser versions that do not fully support UTF-8). If you experience this issue, it is recommended that you upgrade to the latest version of the browser you are using.
  • Your browser security might include a pop-up blocker or other security features that can affect your ability to view the Message Networking Help. If this occurs, you might need to add the Message Networking server as an allowed site, or specify that you want to view the content that is not being shown. See the browser online Help for more information. For additional information about pop-up blockers, see the troubleshooting topic Online help does not display for information.
