MESSAGE LIMITS
Message Lengths, Maximum (kb)

Valid input:
32–46880 kb

The length of the longest message (in kb) that can be created by a subscriber. The maximum message length that the system allows is 46880 kb, which translates to 100 minutes if the G.711 audio encoding format is administered on your system or 496 minutes if the GSM format is administered. A typical message length is 120 kb.

Maximum message lengths for individual subscribers can be further restricted on the Edit a class of service web-based administration pages. See Editing a class-of-service for more information.

Messages, Total in All Mailboxes

Default: 50000

Valid input: 0–999999

Enter the maximum number of messages expected in all subscribers' mailboxes at any one time. This number tells the system when to start generating alarms. It does not prevent message delivery.
Messages, Awaiting Delivery

Default: 5000

Valid input: 0–999999

Enter the maximum number of messages expected in the system delivery queue. The recommended value is 10% of the value in the Messages, Total in All Mailboxes: field. This number tells the system when to start generating alarms. It does not prevent message delivery.
ADMINISTRATION LIMITS
Subscribers, Local This field displays the maximum number of subscribers that can be administered on this server. The value is determined when you purchase or upgrade your system and can only be changed by technical support.
Subscribers, Administered Remote

Valid input: 0–500000

Enter the maximum number of remote subscribers that can be administered on this system.
Lists, Total Entries

Default: 50000

Valid input: 0–999999

Enter the total number of entries allowed in all subscribers' lists.
Lists/ Subscriber

Default: 100

Valid input: 0–999

Enter the maximum number of lists allowed per subscriber.
Recipients/List

Default: 250

Valid input: 0–250

Enter the maximum number of entries (recipients) allowed per subscriber list.
LDAP DIRECTORY UPDATE LIMITS
Maximum Simultaneous LDAP Sessions

Default: 100

Valid input: 0–100

Enter the maximum number of simultaneous LDAP sessions during a full remote update. When the maximum is reached, an administrator cannot request a full remote-update until one of the sessions is finished.
