n = no

  • Updates In?:

    For a remote machine, the Updates In? field indicates whether to accept updates from that machine. For the local machine, this field controls updates form all machines. If this field is set to n on the local machine, updates will not be accepted from any remote machines regardless of the setting of the Updates In field on the remote machine form.

  • Updates Out?:

    For a remote machine, the Updates Out field indicates whether the local machine should send updates to that machine.

    For the local machine, this field controls updates to all machines. If the field is set to n on the local machine, updates will not be sent to any remote machine.

Allow Automatic Full Updates?
y = yes

n = no

If you enter n, all remote update activity will be halted. If the Updates In? field on this form is set to n for the local machine, this field is then overridden and no updates (automatic or demand) will be accepted from the remote machine.
