Remote administration

The Message Storage Server (MSS) supports both local access and remote access for system administration. Local access for administration is supported using the system's shared monitor and keyboard. Caution!
The system allows more than one person to perform the same function on the same screen or page, for example, editing a subscriber's settings. If two people happen to be editing the same subscriber's settings, only the changes made by the person who saves the screen or page last are written to the database. However, if the first person deletes the subscriber, the second person who is editing the subscriber's settings will be unable to save any changes.
