Changing the home MAS

The home MAS is any machine in the voice mail domain from which you administer system configuration. You can change the home MAS by providing the Voice Mail System Configuration application with a new MAS name. It may be necessary to do this if the server or servers that it was previously using are not running or have been removed from the voice mail domain.

To change the home MAS

  1. If it is not already open, start the Voice Mail System Configuration application (see Opening Voice Mail System Configuration).
  2. On the Tools menu, click Options.
  3. The system displays the Options dialog box.

  4. In the Home Message Application Server field, enter the name of an MAS. Clicking Browse opens the Select Computer dialog box where you can search for and select an MAS.
  5. Click OK.
