Setting up message dispatch schedules |
Before you configure a remote Octel Analog Networking node, you must set up message dispatch schedules. A message dispatch schedule determines the times that the local server places calls to the remote Octel Analog Networking node and transmits messages addressed to mailboxes on that node.
You can set up multiple schedules for sending messages from different locations at different times of the day. For example, your organization may want to dispatch some messages, such as those with low importance, at times when call charges are lowest.
Once you have set up your message dispatch schedules, you must set up delivery rules. Delivery rules allow you to assign schedules to messages of different importance. For more information on delivery rules, see Setting up delivery rules.
For more information, see Starting Octel Analog Networking gateway administration.
The system inserts an empty line in the list of existing schedule names.
For more information, see Using the schedule grid.
