VMSC - VMD - Telephone User Interface - Dial By Name Tab

Use the Telephone User Interface dialog box, Dial By Name tab to configure the Dial By Name feature for the voice mail domain. With Dial By Name, callers can spell out a recipient’s name on the telephone keypad.

You can configure the way in which names are stored in the front end database (FEDB). If they have given names or family names which are difficult to map to a telephone keypad, you can configure their e-mail addresses instead.

Launching the Screen

  1. In the Voice Mail System Configuration window, click the voice mail domain.
  2. Double-click Telephone User Interface. The system displays the Telephone User Interface dialog box for the selected VMD, with the General tab active.
  3. Click the Dial By Name tab.
