VMSC - VMD - Auto Attendant - Language/Key Association Tab |
Use the Auto Attendant dialog box, Language/Key Association tab to configure languages, if you require more than one language to be available to callers.
You can set the system to present a list of language options to callers as the first prompt they hear, when calling in to the system. You can also assign a keypad digit and Automated Attendant main menu greeting to each language supported by the TUI.
If you do not use the Custom Language Selection Greeting prompt (see below), callers hear a default system prompt similar to the following:
“For English, press one. Pour franais, appuyez sur le deux." (The prompt for each language is in that language).
Callers can select the desired language by pressing the appropriate key on their touchtone keypads. When they do, they hear all subsequent prompts in the selected language.
| Note: Selecting any language options on this tab automatically disables the Auto Attendant Main Menu Prompt on the Attendant Main Menu Editor tab (see VMSC - VMD - Auto Attendant - Attendant Main Menu Editor Tab). If you want your initial prompt to callers to include language selection as well as other options, you should not use this tab. Instead, you can use the system Automated Attendant and caller applications, see MAS - Caller Applications (CA) Editor. |
| Important! Make sure you have recorded the main menu greeting for each required language and made a note of the associated prompt numbers. See MAS - Visual Voice Editor (Custom Prompts). |
