Settings for DSE boards

All new Avaya MAS units support up to four (4) D/82JCT-U Digital Set Emulation (DSE) Dialogic boards. For systems that were upgraded from Release 1, up to five (5) DSE boards might be present in an MAS with a nonintegrated video and LAN, if five DSE boards were installed before the Release 2 upgrade. For more information about installing DSE boards, see the appropriate Dialogic document:

  • Dialogic D/82JCT-U (5V bus only): D82JCT-U (pdf)
  • Dialogic D/82JCT-U-PCI-UNIV (universal 5V or 3.3V bus): D82JCT-Univ (pdf)

Note: The Dialogic brochures cover more setups than the ones used for Avaya Modular Messaging. If information in a Dialogic document conflicts with this Avaya maintenance document, follow the steps provided in the Avaya documentation. The Dialogic documentation is provided as a convenience to help you locate various items on the board, and to verify cabling procedures.
