Replacing the IDE RAID ribbon cables (MSS-S)

The location of the IDE connectors changes depending on the type of motherboard that is installed:

Nonintegrated video and LAN model

1 Cable to DVD and upper disk drive (hdc)
2 Cable to lower disk drive (hda)
3 Disk drive ribbon cable tie-down strap
4 Primary IDE connector (PRI IDE)
5 Secondary IDE connector (SEC IDE)

 

Integrated video and LAN model

1 Cable to DVD and upper disk drive (hdc)
2 Cable to lower disk drive (hda)
3 Disk drive ribbon cable tie-down strap
4 Primary IDE connector (PRI IDE)
5 Secondary IDE connector (SEC IDE)
