Viewing Global Spanning Tree Information

Web Agent Procedure

To view global spanning tree information:

  1. In the navigation pane, expand the L2 Switching folder.
  2. Click Spanning Tree.
  3. The Spanning Tree Information Web page is displayed in the content pane. See Figure�60.

    Table�40 provides explanations of the information that is displayed in each field of this Web page.

Parameter
Description
Configuration
Type of Spanning Tree that the switch is running. Options are IEEE 802.1D, Per-VLAN, Dual Layer, and Disable.
Protocol Version
Version of Spanning Tree that the switch is running. Options are Rapid Spanning Tree and common-spanning-tree.
The default setting is common-spanning-tree.
Bridge
A bridge instance. In the Figure�60, a STP bridge per-VLAN.
Status
Indicates whether a bridge is enabled or disabled.
Bridge ID
ID of the bridge.
Bridge Ports
Number of ports in this bridge.
Designated Root
Root bridge for this spanning tree.
Root Port
Bridge port used to access the root bridge.
Root Cost
Path cost to the root bridge.
Topology Changes
Number of topology changes that have occurred since the last system reset.
Time Since Topology Change (hh:mm:ss)
Number of hours, minutes, and seconds since the last topology change.
