Web Agent Procedure

To configure the temperature warning systems:

1. In the navigation pane, expand the System > Configuration folders, and then click Temperature System. The Temperature System Web page is displayed in the content pane. See Figure�29.

2. In the Slot 1 Sensor and Backplane Sensor fields, enter the desired temperature warnings.

Note: The P882 does not display the current temperature of the backplane. In the Current Temperature field, the switch displays --.

Note: If a redundant Supervisor module is installed, the Slot 2 Sensor column displays.

Note: You cannot change settings for the backplane temperature sensors on the P882. If you attempt to change the settings, the switch displays the following error message:

Set Limits for Backplane Sensor failed - failure writing to sensor

3. In the CPU Sensor fields, enter the desired temperature warnings.
4. Click APPLY to save your changes, or DEFAULTS to reset the fields to their default settings.
5. If you change the temperature ranges for the active supervisor, you must synchronize the active and standby supervisors to copy the temperature settings to the standby supervisor.
