Use this screen to download files onto the Avaya media server from another server across the network using http protocol. Typical files to download include new license or authentication files, IPSI firmware upgrades, system announcements, or keys.install files that may be used with network time servers.
To use this screen:
The media server must be able to access the corporate LAN (and typically its DNS server) for routing and name resolution in order to use this procedure.
The web server(s) referenced in the selected URLs must be accessible to the Avaya media server.
To download files from a web server to the Avaya media server:
In the main menu of the web administration interface under Miscellaneous, click the Download Files to Server (from web) link.
On the Download Files to Server screen, specify 1 to 4 files to download by Universal Resource Locator (URL) address.
Specify the complete URL. For example, https://networktime.com/security/keys.install
URLs must be entered exactly.
If a proxy server is required to access an external web server (a web server that is not on the corporate network), it must be entered in a server:port format as follows:
Enter the proxy server's name (such as network.proxy) or IP address.
If the proxy server requires a port number, add a colon (:) followed by a port number. The default proxy port is 80.
When finished, click Load File.
The Download Files to Server results screen appears.
Confirm that the specified file(s) were downloaded successfully to the Avaya media server. If so, continue working with the web administration interface as needed.
If an error message appears, note the probable problem, then return to this screen to correct the problem.
