You can use this screen to view the following information:
current status of the Internet Protocol Server Interface (IPSI) activations (known as resets) you have initiated through the Activate IPSI Upgrade screen
list of scheduled firmware resets, which includes information about the date, time, and IPSI
recent history of IPSI resets and reset attempts
You can also cancel scheduled IPSI resets from this screen.
The information displayed on this screen applies only
to resets initiated from this screen or from the shell command. It does
not display status for resets initiated from SAT, ASA, or from other events
such as board removal, power loss, and so forth.
In general, IPSIs automatically activate newly downloaded
firmware when they are reset, regardless of how the reset was initiated
(for example, from the web screen, as the result of a power failure, and
so forth). The View IPSI Activation Status screen enables you to schedule
IPSI resets to activate a new firmware version, but the new firmware could
activate earlier if the IPSI resets for other reasons.
To view IPSI reset information or to cancel scheduled resets:
On the main menu under IPSI Firmware Upgrades, click View IPSI Activation Status.
On the View IPSI Activation Status screen, view the IPSI reset information you need:
To see if an IPSI reset is currently occurring, look at the top part of the screen.
If you see an error message when you access this
screen, it indicates a system failure. In this case, return to the main
menu and click View IPSI Activation Status again.
To see what IPSI resets are scheduled, look at the middle part of the screen.
Typically, IPSIs activate newly downloaded firmware when they are reset, regardless of how the reset was initiated. Therefore, new firmware could be activated before the scheduled time if the IPSI is reset for other reasons (for example, a power failure).
To see the history and status of previous resets, look at the bottom part of the screen.
If you want to cancel the scheduled resets, click Cancel Resets at the bottom of the screen.
The system refreshes the View IPSI Activation Status screen to show that the resets have been cancelled.
You cannot cancel an individual
scheduled reset, unless there is only one reset scheduled. When you click
Cancel Resets, the system cancels all resets listed in the schedule portion
of the screen.
