    IP Phone Screensaver updates

It wasn't apparent to me that the way you change the screensaver for your IP phones.

If you've successfully done this with your phones and want to update the screensaver, you have to name the new file DIFFERENTLY than the existing file. You also have to update the 46xxsettings.txt file with the new file name.

Just as with IP Phones comparing filenames for other updates, if you put the new screensaver file with the same name, you will never see the new screensaver.

In my opinion, this shouldn't work this way. The screensaver file is so small that it should be downloaded EACH time instead of using the file stored in NVRAM in the phone.

This would make it easier to see a new screensaver on your phones.

Agreed, I've run into this as well. The phones will only download custom files with a particular filename once and ignore them from that point forward.
