VPFM license migration

Hi,

We need to change the machine in which Visualization Performance and Fault Manager is actually installed. The problem is that when we first activated the license we had to supply a the PC's mac-address. Since we intend to migrate to a new PC and we've choosen a virtualized 2003 Windows server, there will be a different mac-addres and the existent license will not work.

QUESTION: Is there any way of deactivating the existent license and recreate it with this new mac-address? Any workaround for this issue?

Hi,

Yes, you can change the MAC address under your license bank details.

For that you have to open a case with backbone team, with your license bank details like.
· Name of the License
· Name of the Person under which License is registered. (First and last)
· Email address under which it is registered.
· Old Mac address details:
· New Mac address details.
Once these details are with the Backbone team they can further contact concerned person who has access to the license bank.
