Hi
A customer problem in Avaya CS1000 Release 7.0 with Name length resulted in lab testing in Avaya CS1000 Release 7.5.
It seems to be a small but general problem with digit length for a Phone Type: 2500 when configuring “First Name” and “Last Name” in Phones via Element Manager.
The limit seems to be 8 digits/positions/letters, both for “First Name” and “Last Name”
Problem applies for Release 7.0 and 7.5 and only to Phone Type: 2500, not to Digital sets or IP Phones.
Configuring “First Name” and “Last Name” for a 2500 device in CLI mode (LD95) with more than 8 digits/positions/letters are no problem; it even shows up correct after retrieving changes.
Has anyone seen or have the same problem or even have a solution…
Thanks in advance
