what are the recommendations for deploying voice portal 5.1 to VMWare. (both VPMS and MPP)? This would be a production instance with 65 ports.

AVP 5.1 support on VMWare
The application note for AVP 5.1 with VMWare as been attached. This application note is posted on the internal Avaya Voice Portal site - sales collateral and tools - application notes. It's also posted on support.avaya.com - documentation - voice portal - technical information.
The server spec(s) are the same for VMWare as they are for the "software solution" for AVP 5.1. The customer is providing the physical AVP server(s) - VPMS and MPP.
Per Self Service Product Manager:
Services will need to agreed to support this configuration, but would want the configuration to be registered so services records indicate what was sold & installed so that when support calls come in they are not caught off guard. But they do not see an issue with MPP on HW and VPMS on VMware.
Now the question comes back around ordering.
I think for this it would likely require some manipulating of the order after ASD output. To be clear:
- Avaya HW & Avaya Linux would be provided for each MPP server
- Customer would provide server, VMware and would also provide RHEL for the system that will run the VPMS.
