    System Platform Install - cannot ping

    Installing System Platform in our lab (admittedly on one of the older Dell servers) the install completes without any problems, however I cannot ping any of the addresses (physical or virtual) or ping anything from the system.

    The intersting part is the ping responds with 'host unreachable' even on the directly attached subnet. Link light is on, 'ifconfig' shows the interfaces UP. I'm confused.

    try tcpdump to fix the problem

      Try with Service port . disable firewall and Proxy on your laptop before connecting it with Service Laptop

        HI Rickhicks,

        Would be better to check via console. you can check where your Hardware is getting stuck. May be on the "GRUB" if you have installed CM 6 or above.
