    IP Sets Flashing "Phone Location Unknown"

    Updated a 7.5 CS1000E system this past weekend with the latest Deplist and SU patches for the Call Server and Signaling Servers.

    This morning the site is stating that their IP sets are flashing "Phone Location Unknown". The phones work fine, but they are flashing this message.

    I ran an stat iset all from LD 117 and they all seem to have the correct IP Addresses and we have rebooted some of the phones to test, but still get this message.

    Any ideas.

    Hi Anaya,

    If there is a subnet configured for Set B , then it will associate the location and ERL of Set A with
    that subnet's mapped ERL.
    If there is no subnet configuration for Set B IP address then as per the design , the ERL will be 0 and
    the phone location will be UNKNOWN.

    Configuring Subnet
    ================
    ld 117
    new subnet ERL_NUMBER SUBNET_IP Masking Bits

    e.g:-new subnet 1 192.168.63.0 24

    where 24 is the number of bits which it will try to match with the IP of the phone.

    Please INI system once and check if issue still there you please open Service Request with Avaya.
